Dashboard spam (Forum)

  • I like to check the dashboard to see which posts or comments have been posted recently. However, in my opinion, the dashboard is flooded with meaningless posts. I often have to scroll forever to skip the music posts.

Is it possible to exclude threads from the dashboard?

I also don't want to subscribe to every topic or forum.

  • I understand you perfectly, what you are describing is very annoying, especially the posts of the Berserker player and the constant cluttering of the Dashboard page with music posts (which I suspect no one checks and everyone ignores). It would be useful to be able to add such a forum user to a blacklist and hide everything he publishes (especially in the music thread)

Well, blacklisting would be a solution, but it wouldn't be fair either. He's not doing it because he's evil. But I think you should remove the section from the dashboard or give users the option to do so.

I've already blocked him on a trial basis, but the posts are still coming through.

  • You can manage your subscription by clicking the flag icon in the upper-right corner of any forum section or thread.

If you set it to unwatched, you won’t receive updates from that thread or section anymore.

  • But this method doesn't work! I have it unchecked in the music thread, but I still see all these posts on the dashboard.

  • It should work, it works for me.

Also in Dashboard you have the option to see post from All or just the followed users:

I suspect that you are using a translator or never actually read the topics, right? Please read my post again and then compare it with your answer. Thank you.

It's not about Berserker himself. He hasn't done anything wrong. It's simply about a clear function.

  • Yes,

A simple mark all as read function would be good.

We could read the ones that are relevant to us and just clear the rest.

This way I don't have to open every single song that this guy has listened to in his life and I don't have to see every single war that happens on the Polish servers.

I also know how to count, watching other people do it in at least 2 different languages is pretty boring to me.

It's the red orb that says I have unread messages

  • What's strange, even unusual for me compared to other forums, is that the admins allow duplicate posts. Usually, you should edit your old post instead of constantly adding new ones (I'm going back to the music thread). Despite being marked in the settings as invisible and having the user blocked, I still see everything, just slightly hidden/grayed out. Why does the music thread even exist here? I'm in favor of removing it completely. It adds nothing but chaos to the dashboard, and it has nothing to do with our game!
