Extending the merchant for Halloween event

  • Firstly - you didn't extend it.

It was supposed to be open for 2 weeks and you cut it short.

Secondly - there was a 24 hour countdown 2 days ago and everyone rushed to spend their hunters badges.

If we had known there was going to be another week then we could have waited.

Some items improve by level or become available at certain levels. Another week of levelling up before buying stuff would have been handy.

I have 2 knights that were level 99 on the day the merchant left . I couldn't quite get to 100 but spent the badges because I didn't want to wait a year to spend them . I've since levelled up and you bring back the merchant. But no badges to spend.

    Gee, thanks.

There are a few things I'd like to say but I don't want another 2 week ban for saying what I really think

  • All your constant yapping in every thread won’t change a single thing. None of this was decided by the Game Operators or moderators. They have zero control over event timings, merchant appearances, or how long anything stays active. These decisions come from above, not from the people you keep blaming. We are all affected by the same rules and timing...nobody gets special treatment.

And honestly, your other rant posts are just as pointless. You already got a 2-week timeout for offending the moderators and operators, that alone should’ve shown you that this approach leads absolutely nowhere.

There are no secret channels, no hidden lever, and no magical feedback route. It is what it is. Spamming the forum won’t bring back badges, won’t change decisions, and won’t fix anything.

Yes, you can talk here if you want ... you have “free speech” in the forum. Nobody is denying that. But free speech doesn’t make your posts meaningful, productive, or impactful. Everyone else is equally free to point out that it’s pointless noise that changes nothing.

So if you’re genuinely this unhappy with the game, maybe it’s time to stop shouting into the void and go play something else instead.

  • Firstly, if the admins don't start the events then you're literally sayings that all they do is 'announce' things?

Secondly, yes you are right. I do have the right to come here and post anything I want. ( Within the rules )

That's why it's called a forum - which is literally an open place to discuss things.

And if YOU are not interested or happy with what I post, then YOU are also free to not read what I post.

I don't believe your opinions or flaming are very interesting either.

The fact is, the forum is the only place where players can discuss issues with the game.

What annoys me is that the merchant was supposed to stay for 2 weeks. It left after 1 week and then came back 2 days later.

The admins then post here and say that it's back for 6-7 days, enjoy the extra time.

This is annoying. This shouldn't happen. There's no denying it no matter who is responsible.

I was banned for 2 weeks for insulting the admins. I accept that.

But flaming is also against the rules. As is discussing bans - you should be careful.

  • Look, here's the thing.

The players don't have a direct route to GameForge to notify them of problems in the game or any complaints about it.

We literally have to go through the admin team to do this.

They are employed by Gameforge - even if they say its voluntary, they get paid rubies to do this and they have to sign a contract when they become admin 'staff'

So, when I have my 'rants' as you put it. These rants are directed at Gameforge but they have to go through the admin staff via either the ticket system or here on the forum.

But here's my problem with the staff - they aren't really fulfilling their roles.

Tickets in the support system can sit unread and ignored for weeks and weeks. So the ticket system is pointless.

So our only option is to come here to the forum and create a post in the 'TECHNICAL HELP AND SUPPORT' section and guess what? The admins ignore that also.

The admins don't communicate. Which is their entire purpose as Board Admins.

We depend on them to communicate problems with the game up the chain to those who can fix the problems and they may well be doing this but as far as we can tell from their silence is that they aren't doing this.

At the start of the Halloween Hunter event there was an entire server that could not travel between locations.

There were tickets sent in about this - all ignored, no responses.

There was a thread here on the boards, in the help and support section. Completely ignored - no response from the admins.

Which was what led to my ' enforced holiday ' from the forum.

    Which all could have been avoided if just one of the many, many board staff had responded to the thread and said something along the lines of;

" yes, we know there is a problem, we have informed the people who can fix this and hopefully it will be resolved soon "

But there was nothing, until after the problem was fixed and we got a message in game.

So yes, I know the admins aren't responsible for the actual game mechanics and such like but they are our only route to the people who are so when I refer to them as 'YOU' or 'THEY' I am referring to Gameforge as a whole not the individuals.
