Hi, I've noticed some discussion on the forum lately about setting up a shared international server that would boost player activity.
I want to point out that BattleKnight isn’t the only Gameforge game on the market, but it’s the only one where the admins are a total embarrassment.
I know that not all the people managing the game are the same—they’re human too and have other problems or things to deal with—but I want to highlight the fact that it’s the only game where player feedback is almost completely ignored.
For example, a global merger has been requested for several years, yet nothing has been done about it, even though server activity is declining more and more. They could have followed the example of Gladiatus, where server activity went from 60–100 players online to 600–800 during an event. But hey, on Battleknight it’s more important to open new servers because they bring in money—the biggest nonsense. A global merger would require a major investment from some of us.
Why? Because then the game would liven up, and we’d see who’s cut out to stay and who’s just a poser who quits after the first 10–20 consecutive attacks.
Most servers are struggling to survive with 10–50 active players, lots of clone accounts, and that’s about it, but with a global merger, the number of players would increase considerably.
Each server at its own speed: x5 with x5, x10 with x10, normal speed with normal speed.
I know that what we want as players is impossible or hard to achieve, but if others have managed it, I don’t see why it can’t work here too.
The problem with useless events and the scarcity of good ones—instead of having two events a month that are just a joke, it would be better to implement mini-events on weekends and have one at the end of every month that encourages players to invest money in rubies, and the game to benefit from the money generated by ruby purchases—I think it’s a win-win for everyone.
Daily login bonus: every browser game has a daily login bonus, whether it’s for 5 or 7 days. The rewards aren’t spectacular, but they help keep players engaged. An experience bonus, one ruby, two rubies—at the end of 7 consecutive days, you get something from the realm for 3–5 days. It’s not hard; you just have to want to do it, which seems to be completely missing from the administrators’ minds here.
I’m sure what I said above might be offensive to some of you; I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t care. We’ll end up being the last browser game where a global merger doesn’t happen because of the carelessness shown by those in charge of the game.
I’d like those responding to stick to the topic of this thread and not veer off again into other topics that have been discussed for months on end.
