Even without new companion this event has very good value, you gain extra silver and karma, also eggs for silver and gems and food for healing.
And the best stats are already on the fairy, the only way to improve it would be if it can merge stats with the basilisk. Then it will be huge.
I gave my companion 145 food, so i should have maxed him, but there is another level that requires "?" amount of food. What is that?

You have it on max already then, the only difference for the next level is to get the word Pudgy (which mean full) added in the end, it doesn't give any attribute bonuses.
How much food is required to reach "Pudgy" stage?

If you feed your companion more, you will get the message that he/she will become fat !
But don't worry, this will not be happen ! It's only a massage with no consequences.

Do you mean as a potion for your knight? Thats not possible.
You can use it only for your companion.
Therefore you have to cook the meat.
Klick on to the golden Egg on the top left corner.
Scroll down, and you will find a button were you can cook the meat, if you have some.
Cooking will take 10 seconds before your can cook another one.
Otherwise you can sell the meat, but for only 1 silver per piece.

You can use it anytime, to do so drag it to your inventory, then click on your health bar to go to potion merchant and then drag it to your health bar or the image of your knight to heal full.

Just follow the instructions of Nik`s post. You can use the meat as a yellow potion, but only if you drag it into your healthbar and your knight is at the merchant`s place. Give it a try;)
